Optimal Locking Security
The WD locking system features 5 pin tumblers per cylinder side, as well as a second level with 6 active locking elements offset at a 90° angle. Up to 4 horizontally guided query pins in the cylinder core check the dimples of the lateral coding in the key profile. Through a 90° redirection of motion, spring-loaded control elements are aligned in height and, when the correct key is used, create a movement space for the locking bar.

Additional Drill and Pull Protection
Cylinders intended for particularly security-sensitive areas can be equipped with additional carbide pins and plates in the housing and at the face of the cylinder core.

Integrated Basic Drill Protection
All cylinders in the WD system already feature integrated basic drill protection in the standard version. Drilling is made more difficult through the use of various materials such as hardened core and housing pins. At least one housing pin and all core pins are made of hardened steel. Graduated blocking pins, which jam in case of drilling, prevent the cylinder from being opened.

Durable Nickel Silver Key
The key, developed by a product designer, impresses with its elegant form and high user comfort. The shape of the key tip and the geometry of the cuts ensure easy key insertion. The vertical guidance of the key matches familiar locking behavior. The large key bow enables higher torque transmission. This makes the locking system particularly suitable for modern, thermally insulated doors as well as for users with limited hand mobility. The key neck, at least 14 mm long, is compatible with standard protective fittings with cylinder cover.

All our locking cylinders are delivered with a security card. This entitles you to have duplicate keys made. Duplicate keys can be made by us or any authorized specialist retailer. Please note that duplicate keys – depending on the manufacturer – may cost significantly more than the original order.
Please also note that the cylinders can be up to one millimeter longer. This is especially important for doors without fittings (flush exterior doors). In such cases, cylinders with a length of 27 or 28 mm on the outside are recommended.

Our locking cylinders are brand-new products and can be ordered in any quantity. You can also order additional locking cylinders later that match your original order. For example, you can initially order a single-locking cylinder and later combine it with another cylinder from the same series so that both can be operated with the same key set (keyed alike). You can freely expand this with double cylinders, half cylinders, or thumbturn cylinders from the same series. Therefore, make sure when ordering that the cylinders are not leftover stock or liquidation goods.
